Mechanisms for discharging sand from the sand trap.
WORM SCREW
Sand classifiers for washing and discharging heavy elements (sand, clay and silt).
High performance. For flow rates of up to 125 m³/h.
OPERATION
Solids are deposited on the bottom. The transporter raises them slowly, removes them from the water and drains them prior to discharge.
The water exits by the overflow. The top of the tank and the screw are covered.
The outlet drainage area can be inspected via an upper hatch.
It is supplied with brackets and can be installed easily on a horizontal surface.
RAKE ALTERNATIVES
On concrete construction. They stir and extract the sands by separating them from the organic matter.
For flow rates of up to 100 m³/h.
OPERATION
The movement of the rakes agitates the liquid contained in the tank, separating the low-volume solids with low specific weight from the heavy solids that remain on the bottom.
The light solids are discharged via the overflow, and the process is repeated. The sands are dragged towards the highest point by the rakes and discharged via the upper mouth. These sands have already been washed for odour-suppression. The solids discharged from the classifier can be handled easily by mechanical means for removal and disposal.
