Consists of an alternating sweeping mechanism mounted on a rectangular tank.
Rails are installed on the top of either wall, along which a metal bridge can move. Under the bridge, and secured thereto, are arms that support the floating-sludge sweepers, which remove this sludge at the end of their travel.
Then, a submerged sand impeller pump sucks it from a frustopyramidal area into an adjacent channel.
OPERATING RANGES
To be installed in rectangular tanks with:
Net tank width: ............................. From 1.4 m. to 16 m.
Net tank length: .............................. From 8.0 m. to 30 m.
Tank height: .................................... From 1.2 m. to 6.0 m.
OPERATION
The carriage moves against the flow. When it reaches the opposite end, a limit switch operates the actuator, reversing the operation and thus the direction in which the carriage moves. At the same time, the arms of the sweepers are released, allowing them to be lowered.
Once the carriage has completed its downward travel, the sweeping plate pushes the floating sludge into a collection box or channel.
